Printing Press Operator

Engage Print, a commercial printing company located just south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team. We offer a wide range of services, including offset, digital and large format printing. Position Summary

Engage/NCG, Inc., a commercial printer in Northfield, MN, is seeking a full-time operator for their SM72 Heidelberg 6-color press with coater. The press operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the press, performing press checks, and production of a variety of customer projects including, brochures, postcards, booklets, flyers, maps and more. The press operator also manages the inventory of offset paper stock, and works with representatives from Heidelberg and other suppliers to troubleshoot any technical or print quality issues. The operator must have excellent attention to detail, as he or she is expected to maintain high quality-control standards on behalf of our customers. When not operating the press, the operator may be asked to assist in other areas, including the prepress and finishing departments.

Responsibilities

• Run a SM72 Heidelberg 6-color press with coater
• Run a DZ 2-color press
• Understand and follow work instructions
• Maintain consistency of work
• Follow all safety procedures established by the company
• Read and understand job tickets and other instructions
• Wear multiple hats in a collaborative work environment
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisors

Requirements

• Aptitude for working with complex machines
• Experience with Heidelberg presses
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type

Full-time – Schedule to be determined with candidate.

Salary

$24.00 per hour and up commensurate with experience
